Dr. Kerry Ketring received the Margaret Yancy Award for a significant contribution of a sighted person to the quality and equality of the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired. Dr. Ketring has been providing free eye examinations for dog guides through his animal clinic for twenty years. We are proud to present Dr. Ketring with the Margaret Yancy Award at our GCC meeting on March 3, 2009.
The Margaret Yancy Award presented to a person who is sighted for giving tirelessly of himself or herself to enhance the quality and equality of life for individuals who are blind or visually impaired in the Greater Cincinnati area.
The Bob Kraus Award presented to a person who is blind or visually impaired for giving tirelessly of himself or herself to enhance the quality and equality of life for individuals who are blind or visually impaired in the Greater Cincinnati area.
The Ken Marrs Award presented to a group, company, or organization that has made outstanding progress in its programs and services; thus enhancing the quality and equality of life for individuals who are blind or visually impaired in the Greater Cincinnati area.
This year, these awards will be presented on August 3 at our Awards Reception. To nominate someone for any one of these awards, please submit in writing a brief description of the reason for the nomination, and include your name and contact information and the name and contact information for your nominee.
